first semester down seven more to go

I’m officially done with my first semester of college I'm actually really sad it is over, but I’ll be back soon enough. I experienced my first white glove clean check (when you move out and a crazy perfectionist walks through your apartment to see if it’s clean and if not you have to pay). It was the worst thing ever, I had to clean the kitchen which is the hardest job I literally was on my hands and knees with a scrub brush washing the floor and don’t even get me started on the stove, awful. I’m just happy it is over till April then I’ll have to do it again.

Cara is getting MARRIED in three days!!! It came so fast I’m so excited! I remember Cara thinking it was so far away and that she couldn’t waittt annnny longer. Now it’s here and there is so much to do. Cara, Thomas, and I are driving down to Las Vegas tomorrow and my family will be coming up on Tuesday I can’t wait to see them. I love weddings because it means that I get to see lots of family and friends. Christmas is also right around the corner I can’t believe it. It doesn’t really feel like Christmas without my family being around (but that will change soon…)

 

 

college update

There is only one more week of my first semester of college left. It went by so fast I'm going to miss it. But at every end there is a beginning, I registered for my classes for next semester I'm really excited. I really do love college. Everyone here is just so nice and the teachers are great well most of them. I feel like I have learned so much about the world around me in every way. I have also learned a lot about myself like I love wearing winter clothes and that I can get a brain freeze by just walking outside.
It's starting to get so cold here every time I walk outside the cold air takes my breath away. The wind is also crazy when I walk to class I'm constantly moving my hair out of my face just for it to be blow right back. Then there's the ice.... at least once a day I have my life flash before my eyes after slipping on the ice. I've learned to walk through the buildings to get as close as I can to where ever I'm going. I've gotten pretty good I know almost every hallway and where it goes.

I love my soccer team!!!

At the beginning of this semester I couldn't decide if I wanted to play competitive soccer or not. After much thought and everyone telling me to do it I decided to try out. I was nervous and I tried my best. I couldn't wait to be put on a team and meet all my new team mates... I have never been so thankful for a team in my life. I LOVE my team with my whole heart! From the first practice I knew I was on the best team and with every week I grew to love them more and more. They are just what I needed to feel better about coming all the way from Arizona to come to school here. They are amazing, and so friendly. They make the worst situations into the best like when we played in the snow and our whole bodies were numb. I'm going to miss seeing all these lovely ladies every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturdays, I will especially miss our amazing team dinners!!!!! I'm also so thankful for my amazing coaches and can’t wait for Mackenzie to go on a mission she's going to BRAZIL! Go Vikings you mean the world to me!!!

 

Halloween 2012

I love Halloween, defiantly in my top three holidays after Christmas and the Forth of July. This year I was three different things. First I was a cat (last minute costume), then I was Ginny for a Harry Potter Party , and last of all, Maddie, Julia and I were Mexicans with sombreros, poncho's and mustaches! Another reason I love Halloween is when I see other people dress up especially like Mr. Fredriksen from UP!!! I also made a sweet spider man pumpkin (took me forever) but so worth it!

 

life lately...

I feel so bad that I haven't posted for so long this was one of the main reasons I started a blog, to keep family and friend updated in my life then I go and not write during one of the most entertaining times in my life. So starting now I'll try and post more at least once a week!

This week was extra exciting because it was Halloween and Cara my amazing sister got engaged!!!!!! I guess I should start with her missionary Thomas getting home and surprising her, I can see why she loves him so much he's a really cool guy and very nice. me and Cara made a 100 day count down till he got home so here's the video for that.

Then yesterday he proposed in one of the cutest and most creative ways I've seen and I made a video. also here are some other pictures from last night so much fun! I love Halloween!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CASSIE

Today is also one of my really close friends birthday! I love her like a sister, I met her my freshman year and am so thankful I did. I don't think there has ever been a time we were together that I didn't laugh my head off when I was with her. She is the sweetest person I know you can't help but be happy when you are around her. We have had so many great times together and made so many memories that I will never forget and I can't wait to make so many more. Cassie I hope you had a great birthday you mean so much in my life thanks for being such a good friend!

Happy Birthday Cody James Kappel

Today is Cody's birthday, he's turning 20!!! We are so proud of what he is doing in Alaska and we love him so much!!! He is one of the most giving loving people I know he is selfless and an amazing example to me. I can't believe he has been gone for 6 months already!

all alone

This week my parents, Cara, Carson, and Chase all left for Oregon and Cj left for San Diago... so I'm home all by myself. i guess its good for me to get a little taste of what college will be like but its harder than I thought it would be. i hate coming home to an empty house and going to sleep all alone. Thankfully Cj will be coming back on Monday.

Welcome Home Cara

My heart is full of love. Cara came home Friday afternoon. Right when I saw her it was like nothing had ever changed she was still glowing and you can't help but to be happy when you're around her. I'm so grateful she got home safe and healthy. I love her so much!! Now we just need Cody  to come home. I loved making this video it was like a dream come true when I saw her come down the elevator. I'm just so happy she is home even when she freaks me out sleep talking in Spanish!

Graduation

Driving home this morning at 5:30am. For most people it's just another Tuesday morning but for me it's the beginning of my next chapter. Last night was graduation, everything around me was exactly how I imagined it but on the inside it felt so different. I thought I would be so happy to be done with school. It was everything I worked for but now I just want to go back to school for at least one more day. I don't think it has really hit me that I'm not going back, to me it just feels like a Saturday and on Monday I'll go back. I guess that's just how life is. You just have to soak up life as you get it and really make the most out of every second. I'm so thankful for my family that came down, and for everyone who cheered for me when my name was called I feel so loved!
