a proud but sad sister

Yesterday Cody left for the MTC.  I think it's one of the most bitter sweet things I have ever done. You are so proud of them for doing what’s right but at the same time you’re devastated to see them leave. Cody is going to be a great missionary. I know he is going to have so much fun and grow from this but I am going to miss him. The hardest part is knowing that it will never be the same because by the time he gets back I will be at college. While I usually like change this feels like a little too much, I just wish I could go back to the time when we were all young and had so much fun together. My mom told me a story about me and Cody when we were younger I guess I got in trouble doing something I wasn’t supposed to and my mom said to herself Caitlin you are in so much trouble and Cody heard her and yelled CAITLIN RUN!  That is how Cody has always been for me, my little protector.

On Sunday when Cody gave his farewell talk I was so nervous for him. He hasn’t had to talk to a big group of people like that for years but he did so good almost everyone came up to me and told me how good of a brother I have and all I could say was "I know". Then yesterday when we had to send him on his way to Utah it was so hard for me, he was trying his hardest not to cry and to be tough but when he said goodbye to CJ I could see the tears in his eyes. He has grown up into a strong man and I can’t wait to see how much more he will grow when he gets back.

Oh and I made Cody this paper mache sculpture of himself it turned out really bad but he still told me he loved it. HAHAHA

 

happy weekend

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
(its a little late sorry)

I love Valentine's Day! I love the love in the air and everyone happy it's just so cute! Also it snowed, Here in Arizona it only really snows and sticks once each year. Last year it snowed the day after Christmas and a few years ago it snowed on Easter and this year it snowed on Valentines day! It is so crazy because yesterday I went outside then came back in because I got too hot. Only in Arizona.

My grandparents from Oregon came today! I love them so much, the last time I saw them was when Cara was leaving for her mission.  Its a tradition in my family to make these big heart shaped cookies with our names on them. Usually my mom does it but this year my grandma did because she was here they look so good I can't wait to eat it!!!  I also made so yummy Valentines day treats for mutual!

things i forgot

On Friday at my internship I walk into the room and there is everyone that i have grown to love, all the little kids are running around playing with blocks and other toys and little Nicole (who you usually have to hold on to because she runs away) is spinning around with her hand up. You could see the happiness in there eyes just young and free with no worries. At recess Charley swung on the swings for the first time he was so proud of himself it made me happy how happy he was with himself. I think I have forgotten how it feels to take a breath and listen to the birds sing. The weather has been amazing here I just want to spend all day outside, I've been riding my bike, running, jumping on the trampoline, and of course playing some soccer!

I don't understand, my brothers are so cool they look awesome doing anything and i just look well...

weekend summary,

I had a sleepover it was so much fun on Friday night me, Cassie, and Olivia went to see the Women in Black it was so scary I screamed three times my throat hurt so bad afterwards. Then we went back to Olivia's and watch some family home videos and ate chicken enchiladas till we were were about to pass out. In the morning we woke up Cassie with One Directions time to wake up song It was sooo funny! Then we made crapes, eggs ,and grits (which are nasty) after that we went to the park with her dogs, met so cool friends, and went back to Olivia's to give her dogs a bath. 

This past weekend was also the super bowl!!! I'm not a huge football fan but it was fun to watch and eat all the fun game day snacks my Mom made. It was also the week of the X-Games witch get me so excited for the summer Olympics! Sean White won everything same as always I feel so bad for the people who fall it must hurt so bad and their on TV. I can't wait to go snowboarding this spring break, we didn't get to go last year because by the time we had spring break most the snow in Utah was melted.

Oh and by the way I got accepted to Brigham Young University- Idaho!!!!!!!! I'm so thankful I didn't have to eat five tubs of Ben and Jerry Phish Food Ice Cream!!!

This month is going to be pretty exciting Cody's leaving, it's valentines day, my little cousin is getting baptized, and my grandparents from Oregon are coming.
